Diabetes mellitus is often asymptomatic, which reduces an individual’s motivation to seek treatment, as early signs are frequently ignored or mistaken for other conditions such as high blood pressure. Therefore, the active participation of health cadres in controlling diabetes mellitus, particularly in improving health awareness and promoting healthy lifestyles, is essential to prevent its severity and associated risks. This program involves the establishment of a Peer Group Discussion titled “Diabetes Mellitus Prevention in the Elderly” in Banjar Batuculung, Kerobokan. The program consists of three sessions delivered through lectures, peer group discussions, and the use of posters in face-to-face settings. The materials provided include an understanding of diabetes mellitus, its signs and symptoms, potential complications, and prevention strategies.
