The Community-Based Disaster Preparedness Program aims to empower community capacity to reduce the risks and impacts of disasters in both disaster management and emergency response situations. Communities living in disaster-prone areas play a crucial role as first responders; therefore, providing training is an essential initial step. Residents of Banjar Krisnantara, Tibubeneng Village, are among those who need to enhance their disaster preparedness capacity. This area, located in Badung Regency, is densely populated and geographically vulnerable to hazards such as floods and tsunamis. Consequently, community-based disaster preparedness training using a participatory approach is urgently needed to empower residents in addressing safety and health risks associated with disasters. This program involved two qualified lecturers and three students whose participation was recognized through academic credits in line with the Independent Learning (MBKM) principles. The activity was conducted from June 11 to 27, 2023, and consisted of three stages: orientation, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicate that the program effectively improved community preparedness in Banjar Krisnantara, as evidenced by the establishment of a designated safe gathering point, increased levels of community awareness and readiness, and the initiation of a Sibat (community-based disaster preparedness team) formed by participating households.
