Abstract

Community service activities are hold as part of higher education contribution to the community to participate in impactful campus programs. The programs shared provide positive benefits to the community or relevant to the needs of the target community. The aim of the cooking class program is to open mind of using bananas which lots grown in the area and make it a delicious dessert. The observation shows each house grown bananas in the back yard which sometimes left aside.  The cooking class is program of the Triatma Mulya University Community Service Program (KKN) in Cepaka village in 2026 which bananas potential as source of income. The other consideration  is after offering some bananas are eaten by nobody. So, provide bananas cakes could be a great way to minimize excess bananas. The methods are demonstration and   partner participating where participants saw and participate in the activity.  The result of the activity of introducing banana cakes such as banana ball and banana flambee which is potentially sold for side income. After the demonstration finished, participant can do similar cooking preparation and able to make the cakes in small group. The participant ability in doing the skill indicated the activity aim to transfer the skill is done successfully. So, the contribution of this service is successful to educate local community with valuable knowledge and skill as they got practical knowledge to be practiced at home to produce delicious dessert and could be creative ideas.
