Gunung Salak Village was designated a tourist village by the Tabanan Regency Government in March 2017. As a new tourist village, Gunung Salak Village is classified as a pioneering tourist village, meaning it does not yet have official facilities. Tourism is a crucial sector in improving the welfare of local communities. To support the growth of this sector, competent human resources and adequate infrastructure are required, as these significantly impact the comfort of tourists. The presence of signposts to important locations is very helpful in providing supporting infrastructure for tourism. This sign education and installation of signposts was carried out as one of the Community Partnership Empowerment programs implemented by Triatma Mulya University with the Gunung Salak Village. The community service activities were implemented through three approaches: an introductory phase, core activities, and follow-up or external activities. The results of the community service, namely socialization activities regarding road signs and the installation of signposts, have been carried out well. Village officials and the community responded positively and demonstrated openness to the implementation of this activity. The implementation of this activity has made a significant contribution to the development of local tourism. To encouraging the advancement of tourist destinations, this activity also aims to raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining and preserving infrastructure.
