Abstract

Sumerta Kelod is located in East Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali Province. The Sumerta Kelod Library has the potential to serve as a center for literacy and learning for the community, but its management remains suboptimal. Key challenges include administrative limitations, such as a poorly structured system for bookkeeping and membership card issuance. The available book collection is actually quite relevant to community needs, but the lack of understanding of library management standards among managers poses a challenge to improving service effectiveness. If this condition is not addressed promptly, libraries risk becoming less useful facilities and failing to improve public literacy. Knowledge and management of membership cards are needed to facilitate optimal service delivery for library users. Community service is focused on improving collection management and membership. The Sumerta Kelod Library currently manages more than 1000 books and do not have a membership card. The method used in community service is training and mentoring by inviting an experienced librarian. It is hoped that this training and mentoring will help managers independently carry out book collection and membership management in the future. Through the training and mentoring that has been carried out, library management has been able to create good coding for the book and also print membership cards.
